According to the latest survey by the e-Commerce and Online Gaming Regulation and Assurance (eCOGRA) organization, the typical Internet Poker Player is likely to:

  • play in the evening (71.9%) and late at night (53.4%)
  • be male: 73.8% (although the female segment is continually growing)
  • be between the ages of 26 - 35 (26.9%)
  • have a bachelors degree or higher (52%)
  • be married (56%)
  • travel over 100 miles to play poker at least 2 times a year (38%)
  • Further, 37% of offline casino gamblers were also likely to participate in online play
